Writing and preparing your manuscript

At the end of the workshop, participants will know how to: 

Activity addressed to UPC PDI and PhD students. For doctoral students, this activity belongs to the "Your doctoral thesis" training itinerary. It is recommended in an intermediate or advanced phase of making your thesis.

  • Prepare your your manuscript: structure, special theses (compendium, embargo)
  • Scientific writing: tips and graphic criteria
  • Publishing your thesis: authorship, institutional affiliation, open access, copyright issues...​

With the collaboration of the Language and Terminology Service of the UPC.



Price: Free for UPC members. Non-members, 25 eur/h.

The ICE will issue a certificate of attendance to the participants, provided they have previously registered through the established means (electronically through the web) and have been accepted.

The teaching staff, researchers and doctoral students of the UPC who participate in the activity, a few days after the end, will automatically have the information in DRAC.

For PhD students this course is recommended in an initial phase of making your thesis and it belongs to 'Your doctoral thesis' training path, made of the following courses:
