STRATEGIC PLAN FOR LIBRARIES

Libraries' strategic plan

Since 1991, the libraries of the UPC we are working together in the framework of strategic planning. During the coming months we will write the new Strategic Plan 2030 and we want it to be with your participation.

This new Plan must allow us to align with the University's strategy and successfully face the challenges of futur that university libraries currently have, such as the construction of the digital library and personalized library services in the face of the digital transformation of education and scientific information, open access to science and the reuse of research data for to really make a science at the service of society, the improvement and modernization of libraries and their facilities to offer suitable spaces for new forms of group study and to recover face-to-face life on campuses,...

To make this possible, we will carry out several exercises to detect and specify these new needs and we will also analyze how the best university libraries in the world are preparing to face the futur.

We hope to have a new road map that will help us walk successfully in the coming years.

  • Prepare proposals and improvements to be implemented in the coming years.
