Loan of documents from other Catalan universities (PUC)
El PUC It is a free service that allows students, professors and PAS of the UPC Request and borrow documents from another library of the member institutions of the Consortium of University Services of Catalonia (CSUC), as long as it is not available on the UPC.
You can request them in person at the library where the documents belong, identifying yourself with it UPC id card or via web:

3. View the complete record of the document to know the institutions that have it and if it is available.
4. Click the button Request it (consortium loan).
5. Identify yourself as a user of the UPC and then with your username and password. Indicates the library of the UPC where you want to pick up the document. If you have problems validating yourself, you have a help page.
Automatically, a confirmation message will be generated indicating that your request has been successful.
You will receive an email when your document is available in the library of your choice. From that date, you will have four days to pick it up.
You can also go in person to the library that has the document and take it directly (on-site loan).

The maximum number of documents includes both those that you have requested or have a loan for PUC, and those that are returning to the institution where they belong.
You can borrow all the documents that are available or on loan in the loan Collective Catalog of Catalan Universities. Participating libraries may exclude documents for reasons of use, preservation or copyright (these will appear as Local Use).
You can renew the documents until 6 times, as long as they have not been reserved by another user, the renewal is made within the loan term, you have not exceeded the number of renewals, do not have pending documents and do not have a lock.
If you return the documents late, it will be applied a penalty point for each day of delay and for each document.
If you do not return the damaged documents or returns, you will have to return them with copies of the same edition or similar characteristics (if they are exhausted), or with the equivalent value as determined by the CBUC annually.
Until this is not met, you will be excluded from this service, regardless of other measures that may apply.
Type in the search box the term or terms on which you want to find information. Use quotes to find exact phrases.
The search is done in the fields: author, title, subject, keywords, abstract and notes. If you want to search within the full text of the documents, use "Also search within the full text of the articles" in the advanced search.
By default, the search uses the AND operator, but you can use other operators (NOT and OR) that need to be written in English and in majuscules.
