EBIB: ACCESS TO THE ELECTRONIC RESOURCES OF THE DIGITAL LIBRARY OF THE UPC

eBIB: access to electronic resources of the digital library of the UPC

Check the magazines, books and electronic databases subscribed by libraries from inside and outside the UPC and from any device with an Internet connection through the eBIB service.

Follow the instructions to install the button and check the resources on different devices and browsers.

 

 

  • To be a member of the community UPC (PDI, Student and PTGAS), in accordance with the conditions of use i
  • Have access credentials (username and password) at the intranets / virtual campus of the UPC.
This access system is commitment i non-transferable and allows a single simultaneous session per user.

If you are not a member of the UPC, in accordance with the signed licenses, you can check the resources of the digital library from the libraries' computers. Go to the library information desk to request this access. 

Go to the resource page you want to check and:

  • Activate access by pressing the eBIB button previously installed in the browser if you have reached the resource from an external search (eg: Google), a shortcut or bookmark (favorites) or a web page (Bibliotècnica, Atenea, etc.).
     
  • Access is automatically activated if you get to the resource from DiscoveryUPC, the button More options button, from the link "Access to Library UPC"from Google Scholar, since list of databases or from this one list of resources.

When eBIB is activated, authenticate with the username and password of the intranets UPC. If you do not remember or do not know the password, retrieve it from there page.

You are successfully accessing a resource through eBIB if the URL appears in the URL recursos.biblioteca.upc.edu.

If you are trying to access a resource that is not configured to work with eBIB (for example, open access or not subscribed by the UPC) you will see the message: eBIB - Non-accessible resource.

The session is disconnected:

The resources subscribed by the UPC They are subject to the use clauses that mark the licenses of the provider or editor of each contracted product. In all cases, the permits contemplate only non-profit private uses, and for purposes of study, teaching or research of authorized users.

Therefore, it is not allowed:

  1. Give your username and password to a third party, be a member of the university community or external to the UPC.
  2. Make massive downloads of articles from the Digital Library through robots or other similar systems.
  3. Make copies with commercial use of the documentation of the Digital Library of the UPC.
  4. To carry out any use not allowed in the licensing of use of the contracted products (distribution through digital platforms, etc.)

Faced with any suspicion of Phishing (Impersonation of digital identity), we recommend change the password.

Users who do not comply with the conditions of use of the resources will have to compensate economically the damages caused if they demand it from the suppliers or editors of the corresponding resources.

 

Check them out authorized uses of each of the resources contracted.

Resources that can be consulted through the eBIB service

Below you will find the list of electronic resources subscribed by the Libraries of the UPC Consultable through the eBIB service.

  • The individual titles of books and magazines included in each editorial package (eg, Elsevier, Springer or Proquest); to know what they are or to look for a specific book or magazine, use the DiscoveryUPC.
  • If you want to know the years subscribed to a magazine, look for it in the list of electronic journals.
  • To consult other resources not included in this relationship (free resources, open access or resources UPC Restricted access, eg, Digital books of the UPC), the eBIB service should not be used.
