When talking about the work of Pérez del Río, the 8 volumes of the General treatise on marine machinery. The first volume was published in 1959 and a second edition was made of the work. His work signified a true revolution in the teaching of machine studies.
A few years earlier, in 1946, he published the Plane trigonometry with spherical elements: for use by students and merchant marine engine officers, work aimed at preparing students as Primeros Maquinistas Navales.
His doctoral thesis should also be highlighted In defense of the steam engine, with which he became the first marine doctor in Marine Sciences in Spain.
He wrote several articles in the magazine Albatros, of the Escuela Oficial de Náutica and delivered speeches whose full text is preserved.
