BaDeMar is a database of bibliographic references of articles of magazines, congresses and press that we receive at the library of the Faculty of Nautical of Barcelona. It is updated weekly.
It was born from the need of the students to find information that usually appears in periodical publications specialized in the maritime sector and that is not dealt with in most commercial databases. The scope of the content, not exhaustive, has been extended by promoting the leading issues and technological innovation. It also includes technical references that interest teaching and research staff.
The subjects it covers are: naval design and construction; engines and naval machines; description, equipment, maintenance and repair of the ship; maritime safety; maritime pollution; Navigation, maneuvering, stowage, resistance and propulsion of ships; maritime transport; port operations; maritime economy; technological innovations; Local maritime history, and subjects related to the Faculty (history, studies and activities).
