UPCommons: new version

UPCommons is the institutional repository of the UPC collects, manages, disseminates and preserves, in open access, the teaching and research production of the UPC which, this year 2025, has obtained the FECYT Open Access Repository Quality Label.

The new interface ofUPCommons offers a much more modern, intuitive and fast experience for users. The main page has been redesigned with prominent sections such as recent submissions, relevant data counters and direct access to repositories such as GeoCommons. In addition, browsing communities and collections is more efficient thanks to automatic pagination and the integration of search with filters and indexes within the same page.

Items now display visual indicators of document type and access conditions, and incorporate new metrics such as PlumX and Dimensions, in addition to existing ones such as Altmetrics and Scopus citations. Search has been enriched with list or grid display options, facet filters, and navigation through subject trees such as Areas of UPC or the Sustainable Development Goals.

Improvements have also been introduced in usage statistics, with new beta reports showing accesses by city or university, and the possibility of subscribing to communities or collections to receive notifications of new items has been added.

Finally, a Biblioguide has been published with all information about the repository UPCommons.
