Libraries release bookplates!
In the year 2023, libraries have opted for a new bookplate design created by generative art that plays with classic elements of the UPC, along with other representatives of the University's studies. The central elements chosen are the circle, representative of the UPC, and an open book, which recalls thecurrent ex-libris of the libraries.
Circle (representative of the UPC) |
open book (library ex-libris until 2023) |
Ones (Telecommunications) |
Land survey (Roads and Architecture) |
The proposal was made byAnna Carreras, digital artist and creative programmer, who has used these elements to create generative algorithms that have resulted in 13 digital artworks:
- 12 bookplates, one for each of the libraries of the UPC.
- 1 bookplate that combines all the elements and represents the diversity of the University.
