About the recommended bibliography

Recommended bibliography of degree and master of the course 2022-2023

We offer you the bibliography cited in the teaching guide of the subjects of the different degree and postgraduate degrees for the current course.

Search for your subjects and you will be able to see the titles recommended by the teacher, access the full text if available and / or reserve it if the library has copies available.
 

The recommended bibliography for teaching guides is the list of documents that teachers recommend to students for each of the subjects they teach during the academic year.

By norm, the recommended bibliography of a subject is structured in:

Basic bibliography The teacher recommends a maximum of five titles (manuals, problems books and other published information resources) that support the students in the achievement of the general objectives of learning the subject.
Complementary bibliography The teacher can recommend up to a maximum of ten additional titles to the basic bibliography (manuals, problems books and other published information resources) that support the student in achieving the specific learning objectives of the student. subject, and therefore related to contents and specific activities of the subject.
Other resources Web links, audiovisual material or computer materials that the teacher considers.

From the libraries of the UPC we normalize the bibliographical citations of the documents that the teaching staff has introduced to the Management System of the Studies and Analysis of the Directive Information of the UPC (PRISMA) and we guarantee, whenever possible, at least a copy of all the books recommended in the teaching guide of the subjects of the current course.

Select your center, the degree and the subject you are studying to see the documents recommended by the teacher.

From the reference of each document you can:

  • Consult the electronic version online by clicking on the "Full text" link. Remember to use the service eBIB to consult the resource
  • Book a copy by clicking on the "Find it in the library" link or the "Reserve it" button
  • See if your library has available copies and find it on the shelf by pressing the "Plane" button.
  • Access the document's file to DiscoveryUPC by clicking on the link "Find it in the library" and get more services: export the bibliographic reference to Zotero, Mendeley o other managers, find other editions, find similar titles or search for it in the CCUC.
Remember that the consultation of the resources of the Digital Library of the UPC must be done through the service eBIB if you access it from a list of subjects. If you access it from the Discovery Online Consultation linkUPC and you have previously identified yourself, you will access it directly without having to use the eBIB button.

The loan term of the documents of the recommended bibliography is of 14 days for community members UPC. You can renew them until Sometimes if they have not been requested by another user.

Some copies may be excluded from the loan to ensure that there is always a copy available in the library. And in some libraries, you have copies on a reduced weekend loan.

If the document you want to reserve is on loan and no copy is available, check if the library has other editions of the same document. You can do this easily by clicking the "Find it in the library" link and searching the DiscoveryUPC.

Check also if there is access to the full text online.

If there are no more copies or access to the full text, you can extend your search to the CCUC to see if there are copies at other Catalan universities or different editions of the same title. You can do this easily by selecting CCUC / PUC in the Discovery search box drop-downUPC request it by PUC.

If you can't find your center, degree or subject, it's because we don't have this information.

If a document does not have a link to the DiscoveryUPC and / or the full text may be due to:

  • The document has no commercial availability (it is a document out of print, non-commercial, exhausted, ...)
  • The library is in the process of buying the document
  • The library has not yet finished the standardization process of bibliographic citations
  • The bibliography citation is incorrect and the document could not be located
