Identification

To access the personalized services offered by DiscoveryUPC You must identify yourself.

Click the "Login" link in the top menu. If you haven't done so when you started your session, the link will appear when necessary to access restricted content.

 

 

 

The consultation of DiscoveryUPC is public with the following restrictions:

  • You must have the condition ofuser of the libraries of the UPC to be able to identify you.  
  • You must be a member of the community UPC (PDI, Students and PTGAS), in accordance with the conditions of use, to be able to access the digital library. Those users who do not belong to the community UPC only open access resources selected by libraries will be accessible

Choose the option PDI, PTGAS and students UPC and identify yourself with your intranet username and password UPC if you belong to one of the following groups:

  • PDI, PTGAS and students of the UPC 
  • Guest lecturers invited by the UPC
  • PDI and PTGAS retired from the UPC
  • Staff working in the entities of the Group UPC (UPCSchool, UPCNet)
  • Master's or postgraduate student of permanent training of the UPCSchool
  • Ex-students of the UPC (up to 2 years after starting up)
  • Personnel working in the entities linked to the UPC

 

If you are PDI, PTGAS or FUB studentship, identify yourself with your Bages University Foundation username and password. Your username is the first part of your email address (before the @) and your password is your email address.

 

Choose the option Invited users and identify yourself with the credentials that we will send you by email if you belong to any of the following groups: 

  • members ofUPC Alumni
  • PDI and students of affiliated centers of the UPC privately owned (EUNCET)
  • PTGAS, PDI and EAM studentship
  • Members of institutions that have signed an agreement with the Library Service of the UPC
  • People authorized by the head of the library

 

Are you having trouble identifying yourself?

  • View records of some databases (Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO, ...)
  • Access the full text of resources subscribed to by the library (authorized users only)
  • Access the personal space My account 
  • Manage your loans and reservations
  • Reserve documents to take with you on loan
  • Request documents for the PUC (authorized users only)
  • Request journal articles and book chapters (authorized users only)
  • View document lending policies
  • Renew your loan documents
  • Save searches for future sessions
  • Select and save records as favorites 
  • Make alerts for saved searches 

 

If you have not identified yourself, you can:

  • Do searches
  • Access the full text of open access resources 
  • Temporarily save the results of a search
  • Access the session search history
