DiscoveryUPC is the content search engine of the Libraries of the UPC which allows you to search from a single interface the electronic resources subscribed to by the UPC (articles, proceedings, magazines, books, databases, ..), the physical resources available in the libraries of the UPC, the production housed in the institutional repository UPCommons, open access resources and recommended bibliography for different subjects. It also allows you to expand your search and look for documents outside the UPC.

Access the homepage from the search box Bibliotècnica and on the home pages libraries or directly at the address http://discovery.upc.edu.

• Before you start, remember to identify yourself to access personalized services.
• Choose whether you want to retrieve resources in physical or electronic format.
• You can do a simple or advanced search. DiscoveryUPC will return you the best results according to your relevancy ranking
• To refine your search results, you can sort the records on the results page and / or select or disable the different filters on the left.
• The results page will always show you the available text but you can expand them to references without the full text and request the document by interlibrary loan
• DiscoveryUPC allows you to do many actions with records: save them as favorites, export them to reference managers, ...
• You can see which of the Libraries of the UPC a copy is available and loan days
• In some documents (generally peer-reviewed journal articles) you can retrieve, through the arrow icons, the associated citations (cited references and citations received)
• And if you don't find what you're looking for, you can expand your search to the Catalan area to request a loan from another Catalan university or to the international area to request a chapter or article in electronic format.

• View records of some databases (Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO, ...)
• Access my account
• Book and renew documents on loan
• Request copies from the PUC (authorized users only)
• Request copies of articles and chapters from other libraries around the world (authorized users only)
• Save favorite records and searches
