Request an article or chapter

The DiscoveryUPC allows you to request journal articles and book chapters from free of charge from libraries around the world that you will receive to your mail electronic en 24 hores.

 

 

To request a magazine article or book chapter

  1. Log in to DiscoveryUPCIf you have problems or don't know how to do it, follow these instructions
  2. Expand your search toInternational scope if you cannot find the document you are looking for.
  3. Click on the title to access the full record. 
  4. If copies are available, you will see the option to request a copy and click Get it
  5. Fill out the form following the instructions depending on whether it is a magazine article or a book chapter.
  6. You will receive it in your email at 24 hores approximately. You can also download it a maximum of 5 times for 30 days in the requests section of My account. 
  • Each request is limited to one journal article or one book chapter. 
  • Entire books or magazine issues cannot be requested.
  • No more than three requests for the same document will be served in less than a month.

Request a journal article

  1. Click Get it in the options Need an article?Request a digital copy. Conditions cannot be determined until the system verifies that the item you need is available.

  1. When the form opens
    1. Fill in the minimum mandatory data to locate the article within the journal: the Title of the article and Date of publication.
    2. Optionally, indicate other data that can help locate the article: Volume or Number or From page and To page.
    3. Check the copyright box.

  1. Submit the form.

 

Request a book chapter

  1. Click Get it in the options Need a chapter? o Request a digital copy

Request a chapter

  1. When the form opens,
    1. Fill in at least one of these details to locate the chapter within the book: the Chapter Title or Chapter Number or From Page and To Page.
    2. Check the copyright box.

Chapter application form

  1. Submit the form.

 

Didn't find what you were looking for?

  • If you still can't find the document you need, request it from Interlibrary Loan (may have a cost).
