The scientific production of the Terrassa Campus 2017

This page lists the most relevant data in the report Indexed articles published by researchers at the Terrassa Campus: 2017 available at UPCommons.

This report is prepared annually, from 2010, and includes the papers published by researchers from the Terrassa Campus in journals indexed at Journal Citation Report  (JCR) every year.

2017 241 articles were published in journals indexed to the JCR. You can check all the articles a the report no vacancy.

The evolution shows how, since 2010, there has been a continuous increase in the number of indexed articles until 2015. It went from 196 to 284 published articles. In the last two years, however, the number of indexed publications has fallen. This decline has been more pronounced in the last year (37 articles less than in 2016).

Open access

From 241 articles indexed to 2017, there is 215 (a 89,2%) that can be found in open access. They are distributed as follows:

Open access

Greenway

172

Golden way

43

Closed access

26

Under the gold route we find 43 articles that have been published in open access magazines. Under the greenway we find 172 articles that have been deposited in UPCommons and that will be available in open access respecting the conditions of the magazines (version of the article and appropriate seizure period)

At 2017, 222 Terrassa Campus researchers appeared in one or more articles indexed in the JCR. All authors can be consulted at the report no vacancy.

The evolution shows how, from those of the 2010, there has been an annual increase of the number of authors with the exception of the years 2013 and 2017. The last year 35 authors appear less than 2016.

Of these 222 authors, there are 10 who published 7 or more articles indexed in 2017: Puig Cayuela, Vicenc i Rodriguez Cortes, Pedro (14 articles), Riba Ruiz, Jordi Roger (11articles), Gamez Montero, Pedro (9 articles), Castilla Lopez, Roberto, Codina Macià, Esteban, Full olives, Asensio i Quintanilla De Latorre, Ramon (8 articles), Haro Houses, Jaime, Staliunas, Kestutis i Xhafa Xhafa, Fatos (7 articles)

  • Due to its complexity, this map takes longer to load. Please be patient.
  • Each node is dedicated to an author who has published on the subject discussed in this survey. The edges indicate the number of documents co-authored by the aforementioned authors. The blue nodes identify the authors linked to the Terrassa Campus.
  • This map includes researchers who have written at least one post.
  • Due to the fact that documents with more than 50 authors make it impossible to create the next interactive map, these articles have been removed to draw the graph.
  • Once the map is opened, consult the instructions for use to make the most of the possibilities it offers.

The standardized impact is calculated by comparing the appointments received by the indexed articles of the Terrassa Campus in an area with the world average of the same thematic area. It allows us to compare, therefore, the impact of articles from different thematic areas.

Data from around the world have been narrowed from ESI (Essential Science Indicators). This tool shows statistics that allow to study trends in scientific research. Divide knowledge into 22 research areas. Each journal is assigned to one of these areas. More information: http://ipscience-help.thomsonreuters.com/inCites2Live/8300-TRS.html

To make this report, the 12 categories ESI present in 5 or more articles on the Campus of Terrassa published in 2017 have been considered:

ESI offers the world average number of appointments received during a specific year for each research area (ESi citation rate). The comparison between the average number of appointments received in WoS for the articles of the Terrassa Campus and the world average will give us the standardized impact:

It is necessary to keep in mind that the same article for being in more than one area of Web of Science research.

The appointments received at WoS have narrowed the 7.12.2018.

The corresponding citation rates have been narrowed to 15.11.2018.

The Altmetrics have often been presented as alternative metrics to those traditionally used, such as the impact factor of journals and personal indices of citation such as index h. The almetrics of an article go beyond their number of appointments, they cover other aspects of their impact, such as the number of databases and knowledge that refer to them, their views, their downloads, or their mentions in the social media and in the news media.

To make this report,Altmetric Attention Score(Altmetric.com). It is a composite indicator (weighted average of heterogeneous measures and sources) that wants to measure the attention received on the Internet and is used both for UPCommons as for FUTUR.

Of the 241 indexed articles, these are the 10 items with an Altmetric value higher than 10 to 10.12.2018 data:

This report has been prepared based on the publications included in the Web of Science database.

This resource includes the articles of researchers from the Terrassa Campus of the UPC that meet the following conditions:

  • They have been published during the year 2017.

  • The authors sign as researchers at the Terrrassa Campus UPC or one of its schools.

  • They belong to a magazine indexed in the JCR (Journin Citation Reports) in the 2017 edition.

The results obtained have been treated with a reference manager (Medeley) for the presentation of the bibliography.

The different reports presented in this resource have been generated from the application of the "Analyze Results" and "Create Citation Report" options to the results obtained.

For each author of the Campus, a link has been added to the researcher's file FUTUR: Portal of the Scientific Production of the researchers of the UPC. For each article, a link to the DOI of the publication has been added, as long as it has been possible.

The lack of any article in this collection may be caused by any of these causes:

  • Articles that have not been incorporated into the Web of Science (ISI) database.

  • Articles in which the mention of the Terrassa Campus does not appear in the signature of the authors.

  • Errors in indexing in the database.

If you have any fault or failure, you can contact biblioteca.campus.terrassa@upc. Edu.
