The new edition of the Transparent Ranking of Repositories, published with data from the third week of March 2026, places UPCommons in a prominent position on an international scale. The repository of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) rises to the 20th place in the world, consolidating itself as one of the main repositories of open access scientific production. UPCommons takes an even more significant leap and is placed in the 12th position in institutional repositories, out of a total of 4.639.
The ranking, based on the number of items indexed in Google Scholar —excluding citations and patents—, reflects the growth and visibility of research generated in the UPCThe number of records ofUPCommons identified in Google Scholar has increased from 106.000 in the last edition to 122.000 in the current edition.
