REBIUN launches GeoREBIUN, an innovative GIS (Geographic Information System) portal that allows you to visualize on a world map the footprint that the academic production of Spanish universities leaves in different parts of the planet.
In addition to the world map with geolocated documents, GeoREBIUN offers other functionalities that allow you to filter your resources or obtain statistical data, such as:
- A global content search engine, based on the author, title and subject fields.
- Content filtering by facets, such as the name of the university, the type of document, the publication date or the conditions of access to the document.
- View of the contents through a list, sortable according to different criteria.
- Statistics on the number of geolocated documents for each of the participating institutions.
The type of publications that can be found in GeoREBIUN is very diverse and responds to the wealth that can be found in the institutional repositories of Spanish universities. However, the Final Theses stand out for their quantity, documents that are often very practical in nature, oriented towards the analysis or resolution of very specific challenges.
