In accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), adopted by the main academic publishers, and in coherence with the values that all students of the UPC assumes by signing the Commitment to academic integrity of the UPC, it is recommended to include an explicit statement of use of generative artificial intelligence tools that should incorporate the following elements:
- Tool(s) used, indicating the software versions
- Purpose of use
- Specific parts or sections where they have been used, if applicable
- Review and editing by the authors of the result generated by the tool, if applicable
- Declaration of responsibility as authors regarding the contents of the work
For those generative Artificial Intelligence tools that allow the creation of a permanent link (URL) to the generated content or to the work session, the use of a bibliographical citation is also recommended.
