Transformative agreements and grants to publish in open access at the UPC

What are transformative agreements and how to make use of APCs?

These are journal subscription agreements between publishers and universities or consortia that include a certain number of Article Processing Charges (APC) for publishing articles in immediate open access.

During the process of accepting an article, when the corresponding author indicates that he/she wants to publish in open access, the publisher contacts the Library, Publications and Archives Service, which checks that all the requirements are met.

Allocation criteria include aspects such as:
- Binding UPC
- Affiliation UPC
- ORCID code
- Link to research group UPC
