The Technical School of Vilanova i la Geltrú Library offers students a range of information resources and services to support their teaching activities. • Specialized resources information: Bibliotècnica, electronic information within your reach  

The library puts at students disposal, the information resources needed to support their teaching assignments. It is possible to locate documents of interest through the library catalogue. It also provides access to specialized databases, journals (in paper or electronic format, digital books, and so on. To see which are the information resources of a particular topic field you need to surf Bibliotècnica by subjects.

• Specialized Information Service 

This service is designed to meet specialized consultations on one of the UPC areas of knowledge. In a maximum of 48 hours, a thematic librarian will contact you to resolve the query or tell you when, approximately, it will be responded to.

• Loan service 

This service allows documents from any of the UPC Libraries to be taken out on loan by any member of the University Community or other authorised person. These documents, except for weekend loans, may be taken out and/or returned to any library.This service is subject to the Rules for loans from the libraries of UPC centres. In order to use this service you must present the UPC card or an authorised document to the loan desk of each library. Any user can obtain information on the status of his loans or reservations or renewal automatically pressing the icon My Account of the UPC library catalogue. Enter your name in the first field, and then, in the second field enter /20 followed by the ID number or passport number (màx. 8 numbers), and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

• Training users in the use of the library and in the scientific and thecnical information 

The library organizes a wide range of educational activities with the aim of training in the use of the specialized information resources, scientific methodology of work and in the service of the library collections. All the sessions material is available on our website. Likewise, at the beginning of the course, some special sessions are scheduled for welcoming new students.

• The Final Project at the EPSEVG: complete guide to the Final Project realisation 

The Final Project presentation is the last academic requirement that EPSEVG students must overcome in order to qualify in their speciality. At the time of starting the Final Project realization, you should take into account a range of administrative and methodological information to develop the Final Project whole process registration, redaction and presentation, properly. The library, in collaboration with the EPSEVG, facilitates this guide through a set of interesting topics by the project author.

• Project author Information Service (SIP)  

The EPSEVG library puts at the disposal of students a specific information service to develop their Final Project.
After meeting with a librarian to deal with the accuracy of his thematic research work, the student is advisedin relation to most relevant information sources to carry it out.
If the student considers it appropriate, the library can track their information search progress as well as facilitate localization of highly interesting documents for his Final Project.

• Books recommended in the EPSEVG’s Teaching Guide  

The Library is committed to facilitating access to the bibliography recommended by the teacher in the subjects taught in the EPSEVG. In parallel, it is possible to recommend the purchase of those documents which are deemed suitable for the library's collection.

• Teaching notes 

The Library has a collection of notes: material compiled by lecturers in each subject.

• Internet access 

The Library provides students with Internet access for academic and teaching uses through desktop computers, wireless network connection, laptop computers connected to the network, and so on.

• Laptop loan service 

The EPSEVG's Library offers the Laptop Loan Service with Wi-Fi connection. This service offers 10 laptops that can be borrowed at the loan desk.

• Workgroup rooms 

The library has 4 workgroup rooms equipped with whiteboards, Internet connection for laptop computers and wireless network connection. In order to use them, you only have to ask about this service at the loan desk.

• Full-text access to UNE regulations 

The EPSEVG Library has suscribed to AENOR's NorWeb service. It allows full-text access to UNE's regulations as a whole. You can make your enquiries to the information and reference desk directly.
